Effective October 1, 2026, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) increased the Federal Universal Service Fund (FUSF) contribution factor to 42.0%. This federally established factor applies to telecommunications providers across the country and may result in a higher Federal Universal Service Charge appearing on customer statements.
The Federal Universal Service Fund helps ensure affordable communications services remain available to rural communities, schools, libraries, healthcare facilities, and low-income households nationwide.
Please note that this increase is the result of a federally mandated adjustment and is not a rate increase by our cooperative.
