Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Installation and Repair Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem solving skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
-Install,
configure, and test telecommunications equipment, including modems,
routers, and gateways, in both residential and commercial settings.
-Diagnose
and repair service issues related to internet and phone services.
-Work
with various types of telecommunications cabling.
-Respond
to service calls in a timely and professional manner, providing clear
communication to customers.
-Maintain
accurate records of all installations and repairs, documenting work
performed and equipment used.
-Adhere
to all company safety policies and procedures.
-Collaborate
with dispatchers, customer service representatives, and other technicians
to resolve complex issues.
-Stay
up-to-date with new technologies and industry standards through ongoing
training and professional development.
Qualifications:
-High
school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or an
associate's degree is a plus.
-Proven
experience in telecommunications installation and repair, or a related
field is a plus.
-Ability
to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
-Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills.
-Valid
driver's license with a clean driving record.
-Ability
to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), climb ladders, and work in various
weather conditions.
-Duties
will include working on a rotating basis on weekends.
